Vrindavan
|
||||
Vrindavan is an ancient holy city in north central India, about 90 miles south of New Delhi. It's not much of a tourist haven but is a very important place for devotees of Lord Krishna. Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. He is known by various names in His various manifestations as Narayana, Vishnu, Rama, Allah, Jehovah, etc.
Although we tend to think of God as all-powerful, all-pervading, almighty, etc. these are really not such a big deal for Him. He has unlimited energies by which He can create, maintain and destroy unlimited universes without having to lift a finger.
In His original abode, Vrindavan, which is manifest on this earthly plane only to those with the spiritual vision to perceive it in their hearts, Sri Krishna is engaged in loving relationships with His devotees, who see Him from the perspective of various relationships as worshipable Deity, master, dearmost friend, darling child, or lover.
Nowadays devotees come to Vrindavan from all over the world. My guru, Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, spread the glories of Sri Vrindavan Dham all over the world. His successor, Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja, who is also my guru, is continuing to explain the glories of Sri Krishna and Sri Vrindavan to audiences all over the world.
